11+ Vocabulary Flashcard Games
Fun activities to improve vocabulary for the 11+ exam using Bond Flashcards

To give children the best chance of passing the 11+ English and Verbal Reasoning exams, it is essential that they develop a wide-ranging vocabulary. As part of the exams, children may be asked to fit the correct words into gaps in texts, demonstrate a broad range of descriptive language in writing tasks, and spell tricky words and homophones accurately.

There are many fantastic ways to make practising vocabulary with flashcards fun, helpful, and - if you like - a little bit competitive. Bond's free Vocabulary Flashcard games are designed to be used alongside the Bond 11+ Vocabulary Flashcards or the Bond 11+ Advanced Vocabulary Flashcards. Games include:
- Simple definitions quiz: Familiarise your child with all of the words in the Flashcard deck.
- Around the world: Compete to win the most cards by guessing the correct definitions.
- Story maker: Put your child's creative writing skills into action by coming up with stories inspired by randomly selected flashcards.
- Never-ending story: Friends and family can join in with this game, developing one long, probably quite strange story!
- Word type match: Match up words in pairs which belong to the same class, i.e. noun, verb, adjective, adverb.
- And many more!
